This report analyzes the current state of the metaverse in the countries that make up the Central American Integration System (SICA) region, with a particular focus on El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. Its purpose is to identify existing resources, capabilities, and potential gaps in the ecosystem surrounding the use of metaverse technologies in the region. It is important to note that this analysis is based on desk (documentary) research and no field research, such as interviews, surveys, or primary source data collection, was conducted. The final report is based on a review of online information on the supply and demand of services and tools related to the implementation of metaverse themes in micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
